Class Description
This is our beginning ballet class for new students. In Ballet 1, students learn the main feet and arm positions, barre exercises and turnout, balances and proper posture. In the center students learn arm movements, jump position and exercises, as well as basic turns. Ballet 1 is a 1-2 year program depending on each student and their own progression of understanding and mastering of the exercises. Students enrolling should already be or turning 6 within a month of enrollment. If your dancer is younger, please enroll them in our Pre Ballet class. Students advancing to ballet 1A from Pre Ballet are done so based on instructor discretion and age (turning 6). Some dates are skipped due to holidays.
